Chris is a dynamic communicator who helps a wide variety of clients achieve their public relations goals through a unique set of strategic communications and creative marketing skills. Today, Chris represents the public and media relations needs of organizations in a vast range of public and private industries including; education, healthcare, gaming, law enforcement, technology, environment and public policy.
Over his career, Chris has counseled Governors and other state leaders on a variety of important issues including natural resource and environmental protection, invasive species, tourism and state regulation. Chris has prepared top federal leaders from the White House Council on Environmental Quality, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service while serving as the communication’s lead for the Asian Carp Regional Coordinating Committee.
First as an award winning television and radio broadcaster, Chris transitioned into public relations in 2005 and spent almost two decades developing media relationships and a diverse set of public relations and public policy skills that leverage results today. He became a strong strategic and crisis communicator during a decade long career working for Illinois state agencies including the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency before founding his own Communications firm.
In 2012, Chris helped secure millions of dollars in funding for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources by leading the statewide media relations push for the agency's sustainable funding campaign. The effort resulted in favorable editorials and stories throughout Illinois including the Chicago Sun-Times, Rockford Register Star, Bloomington Pantagraph, Springfield State Journal Register and the Southern Illinoisan.
In 2014, Chris developed a successful marketing effort to rebrand the Illinois State Parks System and highlight the state’s financial reinvestment in Illinois State Parks. The creation of the State Parks, Great Parks initiative included logo and website design, video creation and media roll out to successfully highlight the multi-million dollar improvement projects taking place at state parks throughout Illinois.
Chris is also a successful voice over artist and has lent his voice to several private companies and organizations throughout the United States.
